TEACHER’S TRAINING COLLEGE

In initial years, very large numbers of children with Hearing Impairment were in our society. When number of special educators to teach them were very few. Trustees of Shri K.L. Institute for the Deaf has taken the challenge to prepare Competent, Creative, Commuted teacher’s training college in 1981. Now a days We have trained 450 student teachers and placed as a special education in different stream like SSA, IEDSS, and Special School till now.

 

B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (H.I.) Course

B.Ed. Spl. Ed.(HI) Course is approved by Rehabilitation Council of India & affiliated with Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University. Duration of the Course is two year (4 Semester).The B.Ed.Spl.Ed. programme aims to develop Special Education teachers/Educators for children with disabilities and in particular to children with hearing impairment for various educational settings (including Inclusive, Special, Open School and Home Based Education). The B.Ed. Spl. Ed.(HI) programme will prepare human resources to enable them to acquire knowledge and develop competencies and skills to impart education and training effectively to children with hearing impairment and other disabilities with adequate emphasis on education of all children. The program further aims to develop special teachers/educators who are able to deliver the best in all the roles like classroom teacher, resource teacher, itinerant teacher, cross disability teacher facilitator.

Eligibility: Following candidates are eligible for admission to B. Ed. Spl.Ed.(HI): B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. or an equivalent degree at graduate level depending on the requirements of being the school subject for pedagogical courses or a corresponding degree examination of any other UGC recognized University with minimum 50% in the qualifying degree examination.
